Offset links (half links) allow you to adjust a 2-strand roller chain run by a single pitch when an even number of links won't achieve the correct chain length. Each 2-strand offset link spans all 2 rows, maintaining proper alignment across the full chain width. Available in 12 ANSI sizes from #35 through #240. Offset links have slightly lower fatigue strength than standard chain links, so they should be used only when necessary. Where possible, adjust sprocket position to use an even number of pitches instead. Always match your offset link strand count to your chain.
