Cast Iron Pillow Blocks — Tapped Base
Timken Fafnir tapped-base pillow blocks feature threaded mounting holes in the base instead of through-bolts, allowing attachment to surfaces where backside access is not available. Ideal for mounting to structural members, channel iron, angle iron, and equipment frames where only the top surface is accessible.
Two series are available: TAK (standard duty with eccentric collar locking) and TAS (standard duty). Both feature cast iron housings with tapped mounting holes and accept standard Fafnir insert bearings.
Timken (NYSE: TKR) acquired the Fafnir bearing brand in 2003. Every Fafnir housed unit combines a precision insert bearing with a rugged cast iron housing, factory assembled and ready to mount.
