Product Description
Timken Drives® 4 Strand Offset Link (Half Link)
ANSI Standard — Four Strand — #60 through #240
Offset links (half links) allow you to adjust a 4-strand roller chain run by a single pitch when an even number of links won't achieve the correct chain length. Each 4-strand offset link spans all 4 rows, maintaining proper alignment across the full chain width.
Available in 9 ANSI sizes from #60 through #240. Offset links have slightly lower fatigue strength than standard chain links, so they should be used only when necessary. Where possible, adjust sprocket position to use an even number of pitches instead.
Always match your offset link strand count to your chain. Never mix strand counts — a 4-strand offset link is the only correct choice for 4-strand chain.
- 4-Strand Construction — spans all 4 rows for proper alignment
- ANSI B29.1 Standard — interchangeable with all ANSI 4-strand roller chain
- Odd-Pitch Adjustment — add or remove one pitch from your chain length
- 9 Sizes Available — #60, #80, #100, #120, #140, #160, #180, #200, #240
- Sold Individually

When You Need an Offset Link
- Odd-Pitch Chain Runs — when your center distance requires an odd number of pitches
- Fixed-Center Drives — when sprocket position cannot be adjusted and chain length must be exact
- Retrofit Applications — matching an existing chain length on replacement drives
Important: Offset links reduce overall chain fatigue life. Use them sparingly and avoid placing them adjacent to the connecting link. In critical applications, consider adjusting sprocket centers to eliminate the need for an offset link.
1 All dimensions follow the Lambear tri-format: Imperial fraction – Decimal inches – Metric (mm).
2 Average tensile strength per ANSI B29.1. Match chain size to your existing chain run.
