The Carlisle Super Blue Ribbon “D” section V-belt features a 1-1/4″ top width × 3/4″ depth cross-section, available in Wrapped and Cogged constructions, with Matched Set variants of each for multi-belt drives. Built for the high-torque, heavy-horsepower drives common in oilfield pumping, industrial blowers, large compressors, and heavy conveyor applications throughout the Permian Basin.

Wrapped (D Prefix): Heavy-duty cover fabric on all four sides provides exceptional abrasion resistance, quiet operation, and reliable grip in contaminated environments (oil mist, dust, moisture). The fabric wrap protects the load-carrying cord from sheave-groove wear, making wrapped “D” belts the standard choice for contaminated or abrasive environments.

Cogged (DX Prefix): Raw-edge construction with precision-molded notches on the underside. Provides superior flexibility around smaller sheaves, cooler running temperatures, and up to 15–20% greater HP capacity versus wrapped at the same sheave diameter. Recommended where minimum sheave diameter is tight or variable-speed operation is required.

Matched Set (“MS” Suffix): Chek-Mate electronically matched belts manufactured to tolerances within 0.1% of nominal length. Required for multi-belt drives to ensure even load distribution across all belts — a mismatched set will cause premature failure of the tightest belt, then cascading failures of the others. Order MS variants any time two or more belts run on the same drive.
